  Kofy Brown, a musician, singer and songwriter based in Oakland, has been a pioneering force in the Bay Area’s hip-hop soul scene since the 90’s. Brown is releasing her 10th record, Child of Providence, on her independent label Simba Music Records 2020. This album is in part an homage to her Great-Great Grandfather, Providence Powers.
